CareNow welcomes new graduates. CareNow provides 80 hours orientation training prior to working a shift independantly. Lab/X-ray techs hired may later apply for our nurse training program held throughout the year to receive additional back office training for a unique multi tech position that works shifts in both lab/x-ray and nursing.
The techs at CareNow perform patient care and treatment under the supervision of the physician.
Basic Lab/X-ray Procedures:
* Provide care to a variety of patients to
include: Family Practice, Urgent Care, and
Occupational Medicine.
* Promote a caring, friendly atmosphere focusing
on the patient.
* Perform all x-ray views allowed by
certification level.
* Perform drug screens, CBCs, urinalysis, and
other in-house lab tests.
* willing to learn to assist nursing staff triage
and assess patients.
* Process specimens for reference laboratories.
* Maintain lab/x-ray equipment daily.
* Replenish fixer and developer chemicals.
* Restock films.
* Inspect and remove artifacts from the x-ray
screen.
* Opportunity to work with state-of-the-art
digital X-Ray equipment in some locations
* Operate equipment according to policy.
* File and place lab work and x-rays with patient
charts.
* Record results and procedures in appropriate
logs.
* Order and maintain all supplies weekly.
* Contact clients with appropriate reports.
Tests Performed:
* CBC
* Glucose
* Occult Blood test
* Ictoest
* Mono
* Pregnancy
* Strep Screen
* Urinalysis
Occupational Medicine Duties Include:
* Drug screen collection
* Breath alcohol testing
* Hair follicle testing

| Requirements: |
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
* Certified X-Ray tech with current and
appropriate license.
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* CareNow provides Breath Alcohol Test Training
* Good knowledge of general lab/X-ray
* Provide professional image to CareNow patients.
* Must be able to work all shifts. Days,
Evenings, and Weekends.
* Basic knowledge of computers and general office
machines.
* Provide or willing to maintain current CPR and
AED certification.
* Able to prioritize and multi-task.
* In order to be considered for employment, all
employees must work rotating day, evening and
weekend shifts.
